Canadian Open WSA Snowcross Race
Winnipeg, MB, Dec 13-14, 2003


Carl Kuster, #47c, long-time member of the
Blair Morgan snowmobile Racing Team, carried away the checkered flag for the
Pro Open National snowcross final. Coming into the final in the coveted pole position, he had completed
qualifying with a third, a first, and a second in his snowcross races.

In the Pro Stock National snowcross race Kuster completed the three rounds of qualifying with two
first place finishes and a second, however he finished with fifth place.
Below, #67, Ryan Simons, rode his Arctic Cat snow machine to a third place finish in the
Pro Stock National snowcross event after qualifying with two thirds and a first.

Justin Tate, getting up front for the
Amsoil/Scheuring Speedsports team on his Polaris below on the first turn after the start,
had a good weekend in Winnipeg.
Eckstrom took third in the Pro Open snowcross National final, right behind teammate Dennis Eckstrom.
He had a second, fifth and fourth during qualifying. In the Pro Stock National he ended up in seventh in the final,
having qualified with a second, fourth and third.

Michael Island, #8, member of the
Ski-Doo X Racing Team, finished fourth in the Pro Open National snowcross event, after a fifth,
second and sixth in qualifying. He didn't make the LCQ to get into the Pro Stock
Final after a fifth, fourth and second in qualifying. Island rides the Bud Light Ski-Doo below.

In the photo below Island, #8, and Steve Martin, #18, fight it out down the
moguls. Martin, also a member of
Ski-Doo X Racing Team finished tenth in the Pro Stock snowcross Final and tenth in the Pro Open Final.
