Arlen Peterson
2006 International Watercross Association
Pro Vet World Champion
What's great about a 30th annual
International Watercross Association (IWA)
competition? The chance to see some great
racing, of course. And the July 16, 2006
snowmobile watercross race event in Grantsburg,
Wisconsin did just that, as Arlen Peterson took
Pro Vet championship with his snow machine.
Peterson, however, credits his son Eric with
getting him involved in snowmobile watercross
racing and helping him win his watercross title
this year. Their team, KMA Racing, comes out of
Frederic, Wisconsin. While Eric's been racing
nine years, dad, Arlen has only been competing
with his sled on the water for the past four and
a half years.
IWA
Watercross President for both the 2005 &
2006 season, Arlen races a 2001 Ski-doo
800 MXZX Stock
sled. Fifty-one years strong, his classes are
both the Pro Stock and Pro Vet ovals with #449.
Arlen's sponsors include KMA Racing, B &
D Repair, Indian Creek Tavern, Pauls Custom
Covers, Frederic Auto Body, A-1 Machine, The
Main Store, and Dannohue Designs
.
Eric
Peterson, racer #444 rides a 2004 Ski-Doo 800
Modified in the Pro-Open Oval IWA watercross
classes.
Eric Peterson has been hitting the watercross
waves with his Ski-Doo for nine years for KMA
Racing, and is 26 years old.
Don't miss the 31st running of the Grantsburg
Watercross in 2007!
