2008 Ski-Doo SnowmobilesSki-Doo REV
The 2008 Ski-Doo MXZ X with REV XP platform has gone on a serious diet, taking off 50+ pounds from the 2007 models. But there's more. Not only is it lighter, it's also built stronger and shoots out faster.
The MXZ X 800 model has a dry weight of just 425
pounds--but you
probably won't need to be pulling it out of a snow bank anyway with the
innovative new design.
The new REV XP underwent a lot of other changes along with the diet. While weight loss was up to 15%, torsional strength increased 21% and flexion strength went up 37%. There's also a new seating position on the REV XP models, which moves the angle of the rider's knees from 80 degrees to 105 degrees as feet slide 8 inches further ahead.
Ski-Doo technicians used new techolongy called Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to strength test each and every piece they've re-engineered. Both front and rear suspensions are brand new--front dual A-arm design of forged aluminum, and rear SC-5 ski.
Other new features include an XP guage pack: analog tachometer, backlit LCD info centre, and analog speedometer. This means you'll have two trip odometers, engine hour meter, trip hour meter and clock on electric start models.
