Dyrdahl & Ski-Doo Score Another Cross-Country Victory!

PRESS RELEASE: Ada, MN (Jan. 26, 2008) – Bagley, Minnesota racer Bryan Dyrdahl won the FXR Pro 600 class at the United States Cross-Country (USCC) circuit’s “Ada Shooting Star 100” in Ada, Minnesota.

Dyrdahl rode his 2008 Ski-Doo to a field-best time of 1 hour, nineteen minutes, fifty-six seconds. Second place rider Gabe Bunke of Moorhead, MN road his Polaris with a time of 1 hour, twenty minutes, twenty-eight seconds. Third place went to Polaris rider Josh Davis of Bagley, MN with a time of 1 hour, twenty minutes, forty-three seconds.

The Ada Shooting Star 100 presented by Yamaha was the fifth race of the USCC circuit’s eight race schedule. There were 184 race entries. The race course distance was 40 miles, which included river and ditch running.

USCC’s next race is the Mille Lacs 200 in Garrison, MN scheduled for February 16-17. The Mille Lacs 200 is the first race of the Amsoil Triple Crown series. Races held in Garrison, MN, Brainerd, MN and Hayward, WI have formed Sled Head 24/7’s Amsoil Triple Crown. The races will include large payouts, television coverage and spectator friendly, head-to-head racing.

Dave Dirkman won the Ryde FX Pro Open class aboard his Ski-Doo. Gabe Bunke finished second aboard his Polaris followed by Polaris rider Josh Davis. Minnedosa, MB Arctic Cat rider Bryce Buchanan won the Go Fast Sports Semi Pro 600 class. Buchanan also won the Stud Boy Semi Pro Improved class.

Princeton, MN rider Trevis Rothschadl won the Black Magic 440 class aboard his Arctic Cat. Ski-Doo rider Bobby Menne IV of Virginia, MN won the Action Graphics Fan 600 class. Provost, AB Polaris rider Ken Christenson won the Orion Industries Masters 40+ class. Brad Cierzon of Winona, MN rode his Ski-Doo to a first place finish in the PowerMadd Amateur 600 Class. The Carver Performance Amateur Improved class was also won by Cierzon.

Polaris rider Paul Anderson of Lewiston, MN won the Sno-X Magazine Legends 50+ class. Winona, MN Ski-Doo rider Jenna Sobeck won the Parts Unlimited Women’s class. Bobby Menne IV of Virginia, MN won the Fox Shox Junior 14-17 class aboard his Ski-Doo. The Tekvest Junior 10-13 class was won by Arctic Cat rider Adam Mach from Minto, ND. Holt, MN Yamaha rider Cory Davidson won the Scott USA Vet 30+ class.

Billy Bakker of Winnipeg, MB won the Yamaha Sport 85 class aboard his Ski-Doo. Jack Bakker of Winnipeg, MB won the Snow Week Vintage class aboard his Ski-Doo. In the 120’s it was Arctic Cat rider Sara Larson winning the SnowTech Magazine 120 stock class and Max Gausen winning the SnowGoer Magazine 120 Improved class.
