The 2008 Yamaha FX Nytro MTX snowmobile uses the new Genesis® 130FI 4-stroke engine. Its fast-revving, high torque 130hp-class Genesis 130FI has a slightly larger displacement than the 120 from last year, using a 1050cc 3-cylinder design and Yamaha’s advanced fuel injection technology. It's built to power riders through the mountains and lots of deep powder.

The FX Nytro MTX uses a new Yamaha patented rear exit exhaust design that serves many performance-enhancing functions.

Yamaha and Camoplast® collaborated to create the best option for mountain sledders with the Maverick™ track. The 16 x 153 x 2.25-inch lug track features a 3-inch pitch to allow more snow to pack in between the lugs for a firmer grip on the snow.

The Yamaha FX Nytro MTX sled uses a lightweight ProMountain rear suspension with torsion spring design, which has been engineered to help the sled get up on the fresh snow through weight transfer and shallow track approach angle. It uses dual-angle rails and has 14 inches of vertical travel.

Yamaha FX Nytro MTX snowmachine uses a beveled deep tunnel design to put riders’ feet, thus their weight when standing, low on the sled for improved handling.

Yamaha FX Nytro MTX snow machine standard features include the single piece dual hooked mountain handlebar, made of the same material as the main bar section for consistent control in performance situations.
